AC·CRO·CHA·GE 2021-2022
The Cologne gallery owner and curator Manoel Nunes invited to an exhibition from the AC·CRO·CHA·GE series, which takes place at the turn of the year.
The works of several artists, including three of my works, were shown here from December 4, 2021 to January 6, 2022.
SOLO EXHIBITION
My abstract photo art was exhibited at the Manoel Nunes Gallery from April 3, 2022 to May 14, 2022.
It contained 25 hanging exhibits and a catalog with 52 works.
The introductory speech was given by art historian Dr. Peter Lodermeyer from Bonn, who also wrote the foreword to the exhibition catalogue, which is well worth reading.
AC·CRO·CHA·GE 2022-2023
At the end of 2022, the Manoel Nunes Gallery once again held a joint exhibition with works by affiliated artists of various genres.
Many thanks to the initiator that I was able to present some of my work here from December 11, 2022 to January 7th.
What do we see ?
The variety of impressions offered by Frank Waldorf’s works gives us the feeling of having seen coastlines and foaming surf, South Sea atolls, conflagrations, and lava flows from great heights – as if we’d dived into the depths of the sea and flown into the stratosphere to see glittering northern lights flashing over the blue Earth.
Some of the pictures give us the sense of also having spent this fantastic journey seeking out distant galaxies, and gazing close-up at water surfaces, plants, rocks, and molten metals.
At the same time, however, it is perfectly clear that all these scenic, cosmic, and natural impressions are only the result of our own imagination, because obviously none of these things appears in the
pictures at all. And if we were to ask ourselves what we’re really looking at, we’d be hard pressed to find an answer.
